Warm Bodies

Yesterday was one of my most unlucky days. In the morning, I dropped my car controller and it broke. So, I've no choice but to drive my mum's car to uni because if I tried to force open my car using the keys, the alarm will go off. My classes ended in the evening and the moment I stepped out from the lift, it rained. The car park was so far away and again, I've to walk in the rain.

On the brighter side, Warm Bodies is finally released. A lot of my friends said that this is another version of Twilight but I think it's more than that. Warm Bodies is a comedy so practically, it's much more hilarious and the dialogues are ermmm... more sarcastic in some ways. There is a part where a zombie mocked the other zombies for being slow and eating brains. It's a typical comedy-romance film but I guess it's quite a good film for us to sit back and have a good laugh.

Annnndddd, It's a must to download these songs from iTunes as the soundtracks are too awesome.

It's almost halfway through the year 2013 and I learnt that:

# You can't plan life. No matter how perfect your plan is, it will be screwed by the end of the day. It's either you'll receive some last minute I-can't-make-it-calls or your plan just died out by itself as it didn't work out.

# Some things/people are meant to come and go. Even if you put in extra effort to make things work, they just don't work exactly the way you wished them to be.

# Complaints are utterly useless.

Uni is starting next week and the usuals, it'll be a busy sem again. I know it sounds weird but I like being busy, at least I've things to keep me occupied instead of wandering around aimlessly.

Artisan Roast Cafe @ TTDI

I'm a coffee lover but the funny part is, I dislike bitter coffee and this is why my choices are always limited to only mocha and caramel coffee. However, not every coffee house serves mocha or caramel coffee and that is why sugar/creamer is a must whenever I go to non-mocha/caramel-coffee-places. So today, dad took a day off and I dragged him to Artisan Roast Cafe since I've always wanted to try something different and we both are coffee lovers. Both of us were not very familiar with TTDI and instead of taking only 20 minutes (as stated in the GPS), we took more than 30 minutes. Most of the time, the GPS wasn't that accurate and we took several wrong turns before reaching TTDI.

The interior design of the place is very different from the usual cafes. It's hard to describe but I would say that it feels like you have just walked into a coffee experimental lab and they served you with some kind of experimental drink that has a nice latte art on it. Overall, the environment of this place is chilling and pretty good.

The mind map on the wall is a guide that teaches you on how to choose your coffee.

As usual, de mocha. Even though it's slightly bitter, I would say that it tastes nice but it seems to be lacking of something. I expected more but it seems to be lacking some kind of satisfaction, maybe. By the way, it's a strong coffee as I'm still having caffeine rush at 12 midnight.

The Equation

There are two kinds of love...in the safe kind you look for someone who's exactly like you. It's what most folks settle for. But then there's the other kind of love. Everyone's born with a ragged edge, and some folks crave that piece that's a perfect fit. You'll search for it forever, if you have to. And if you're lucky enough to find it, it looks so right, you start to tear at your own seams, thinking, maybe I could look just as perfect. But then, of course, when you try to get close to their other half, you don't fit anymore. That kind of love...you come out of it a different person than you were when you started.

de Thursday.

In one week alone, I've visited 4 malls. So today, I went to Midvalley for the third time for this week to meet up with the long-lost-and-disappeared friends from my foundation year. It is funny when everyone plans for outing, the first place that comes to their minds will be Midvalley instead of other malls like Pavilion or One Utama. Anyhow, it was a great catching up session with them before my busy sem starts next week.

As I went home, the first thing I saw was there was a parcel lying on my study desk and immediately, I knew what was it. The Captain America's shield battery case replacement that I've ordered from ebay was finally here. To me, it's a must for my phone to wear its clothes. Initially, I planned to get an aztec tribal case for my phone as it is in trend now. Somehow, Marvel has cooler designs and for a cheap price, the quality for this case is surprisingly good. :)

And now, it's time for the season finale.

Cafe Takahashi & Ben's @ Pavilion

Finals ended last Thursday, which means that now I've ample of time to live lazily like a sloth, re-watch The Vampire Diaries from season 1 till season 4 and also shop like a shopaholic.

Few days ago, I texted Nat and checked if she was free to join me for lunch and movie at Pavilion. She was usually very busy but surprisingly, she said yes. I was craving for Japanese food so we went to Tokyo Street as the Japanese food there are pretty good and also not too pricy. We passed by a new Japanese restaurant  that serves Japanese burgers and decided to give it a try.

The Chicken Katsu Burger at Cafe Takahashi. The burger buns were made of plum and that explains the colour. Instead of mayonnaise, the wedges are coated with wasabi sauce. I'm not a big fan of wasabi but I would say the wedges taste okay.

As for dessert, we went to Ben's for macadamia cheesecake sundae. It's topped with caramel macadamia nuts and we found mini cheese cubes in the vanilla ice cream.

It is a must to try Ben's famous chocolate cake. The moist chocolate cake is coated with chocolate sauce and the taste of this piece of cake is simply heaven. :)
