Ahhhhooooyyyyy! How do you like my studded headband? It is from Luccacal. Luccacal is an online accessories store that sells a variety of trendy accessories ranging from necklaces to headbands, bracelets and etc. Besides that, the prices are reasonable for such a good quality spiky headband (no joke, the spikes are really sharp! You can just bang someone and I bet that person will bleed profusely!). Check out their official Luccacal page or their Facebook page for more updates on their monthly new arrivals. :)

So for the final week of July, I...
:: finished 8 seasons of How I Met Your Mother in only 4 months!
:: survived 3 midterms back-to-back.
:: handed in 3 assignments. (again, the last minute work)
:: planned a super early surprised birthday party for John and succeeded! (even though everyone was thrown into the pool)
:: bought both skater and bodycon pencil skirts on eBay. (the shopaholic is back in action after weeks months of hiatus)
:: learnt how to make caffe vanilla. (and surprisingly it's very simple)
:: breakfast with Mark before he leaves to Brisbane.

And there goes July aka the favourite month of the year. So August, treat me well kay? :)

Carbon dioxide or helium gas? It doesn't matter because one day, you will have to let it go eventually. Isn't it funny how things work out sometimes.

When you are 21, people will be telling you on how you should be wiser and contented, thankful for what you have and then, they will give examples of the unfortunates (even the unrelated ones). Indeed, I thank God for all these things and all these great people that came to my life. Somehow, the irony in it is that the feeling of being contented and striving to be better has an inverse relationship. You will have to forgo something in order to have more of the other and the bad part is you can't have both.

Does it mean that if you are contented, there will be a stunted growth?

Vintage bracelet

As we all know, vintage bracelets are in trend these days. You can see people selling them everywhere and since most of them are handmade, these bracelets are somehow expensive. So, I thought that  maybe I should try to make one on my own despite the fact that I can't really make pretty accessories (I fail, badly). Since this is the first time, I thought of starting off with a simple one.

Basically, this vintage bracelet needs only a few charms: two anchors, one set of toggle clasp, a 'courage' connector, some chains and a few rings.

I think I didn't fail badly this time. It wasn't some fancy bracelet but heyyyyy, this is my first time making it so I think it looks pretty ohkay. :))

In the space between yes and no, there's a lifetime. It's the difference between the path you walk and the one you leave behind; it's the gap between who you thought you could be and who you really are; its the legroom for the lies you'll tell yourself in the future.

9th July

Sometimes, things have to fall apart to make way for better things because eventually, over time, we all become our own doppelgängers.

Get Together @ Shabu Garden

It has been quite a while since we have a gathering where everyone is around. And guess what, we managed to have one yesterday. :) Haha. I just noticed something. I have friends from different regions of the world. Eugene is back from UK, Leon and John from Aussie and Kess from France.

We were supposed to have steamboat dinner at 6.30pm and since I was there early, I might as well stone in Starbucks. Oh, before this I have something to say. *rewinds back to the top of the post** I have got a new toy and it is... scrolls down...

The Coffee Bean coffee machine! I have always wanted one coffee machine and finally, Mark had enough of Maybank points to redeem this red machine over here. :) I learnt to make caffe macchiato and now I am thinking of maybe I should learn how to make caffe caramel. The coffee machine is user friendly. All you have to do is to add in an expresso capsule and press on a few buttons and violaaaaaa. Here comes your expresso, cappuccino or even macchiato.

Ohkay, now we are back on track. So I went Starbucks and waited for Suk. She was supposed to teach me how to make vintage bracelets but we ended up doing nothing as she was late. And here is the combination of caramel macchiato and audit notes.

The feast! Dinner at Shabu Garden right opposite Leisure Mall. The food is great and each of us have our own pot and we are allowed to choose our own soups. Their sliced lambs are nice and it's a must try if you happen to visit this place.

There are 12 people that night and again, I couldn't fit everyone into this small camera screen. :/

de 21st @ Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf

Heyyylllooo July! July and December are always my favourite months of the year simply because July is my birthday month and December is the final month of the year. So two days back aka my birthday, I was sitting in the lecture hall (wasn't listening to the lecture AT ALL) and kept counting the time because I was craving for pork burger and couldn't wait to lunch at Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf.

We had a hard time finding it as the GPS wasn't really accurate and some of the roads were under construction. As I stepped into the restaurant, I stunned for about 5 seconds, maybe? I thought it was just a quiet lunch but everyone was there and it was so nice of them to plan a surprise lunch for me. :) Usually, I'm the one who plans all the surprises so yeah.

The menu. It should be three little skinny pigs. Personally, I think the pigs look more like mice. ;p

Part of the Three Little Pigs story. The phone camera isn't wide enough. :/

The Mighty Piggy Burger. The portion is large and the patty is juicy. Not to mention the egg is half boiled and it blends perfectly well with the pork patty.

Everyone with their food.... and tea!

Some of the decorations on the wall. It gives me a sense of vintage feel. Don't you feel that too?

And... look at this! His name is Oswald the Ninja Noob. Oh well, instead of a noob, he looks more like a badass with that magician hat.

Appetiser, main course and the next stop - dessert is a must. So all of us ended up at MidValley again to have our dessert/tea break at Plan B that is located opposite Esprit. And guess what, it was my fourth time to MV within these two weeks.

I have no idea why but they look like three minions!

Time for some Plan B! :D

My rainbow birthday cake. Suk said the cake has a name: dreams come true. :)

I'm a big fan of muddy chocolate cakes and this B Chocolate Cake is a must try!

Presents from everyone. Oswald, Charles and Keith wallet, Forever 21 white dress, key pendant, mini piggy banks and chocolates. <3
